Urban Planning and Regeneration
With almost 60% of Indonesia’s population living in cities, the management of the allocation of urban land between various land uses is a critical issue.
With almost 60% of Indonesia’s population living in cities, managing the allocation of urban land between various land uses is a critical issue. Urban populations tend to be more productive and sustainable but, the speed and scale of urbanization brings challenges, including meeting accelerated demand for infrastructure, affordable housing, transport systems, as well as jobs and services. The national and regional governments play a critical role in preparing spatial plans but their interaction with economic development is what usually influences their success. As Indonesia retrofits public transit into urban areas, it creates opportunities for transforming economies, increased density and reducing carbon footprint.
We work with leaders and key decision makers offering advice on all aspects of urban planning to governments, state owned enterprises or the private sector. We seamlessly integrate economic development, urban and environmental planning with infrastructure to successfully deliver urban regeneration. We also assist governments in developing policy, programs and activities/initiatives in support of urban regeneration.
