According to the United Nations “Coal, oil and gas are by far the largest contributor to global climate change, accounting for over 75 per cent of global greenhouse gas emissions and nearly 90 per cent of all carbon dioxide emissions”. The resulting warmer climates are disrupting the Earth’s natural systems, posing big risks, that need to be mitigated or managed multilaterally, but also by combinations of countries, cities, organizations and communities. Countries have made voluntary and/or binding commitments, the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) to meet these goals and governments and organizations will be required to operate differently going forward. For organizations there are both challenges and business opportunities.

The issues are complex and cross-cutting, and an integrated approach is required something we are ideally suited to address. We are able to offer a range of services such as managing the energy transition, decarbonization of transport infrastructure and industry, infrastructure adaptation and increase resilience, support for financial mechanisms such as use of carbon credits and increased used of nature-based solutions. We help organizations address these issues directly or mitigate their impacts as part of programs and projects. We also assist governments in developing policy and regulation to support increase resilience, mitigate risks and manage adaption.
