Buro Happold Ltd has collaborated on the City Framework Plan, through several different projects. With high sustainability aspirations and a planned 600,000 inhabitants and 45m visitors annually, the city aims to achieve new standards in terms of city planning. The masterplan has been crafted to maintain the natural flow of the water that shaped the land over millions of years, and has been divided into key development nodes, each with its distinct set of offerings and facilities.
Buro Happold’s transport and mobility team worked on the regional plan, city plan, mobility management plan, city wide parking strategy, opening day plan, district guidelines, and operating model. The team were also involved in various feasibility studies for the mobility systems and act as a technical advisor on all mobility related contracts for the client. Buro Happold’s Jakarta office supported the transport and mobility team with visual communication tools for the Transport Urban Axis and vertical links.
