Sustainability and Climate Manager

Level: Manager / Senior Consultant
Minimum Experience: 5+ years in sustainability, climate, or relevant professional experience.


1. Role Purpose

The Sustainability and Climate Manager will lead and support the delivery of sustainability- and climate-related components across TP’s projects and initiatives. The role focuses on integrating climate and sustainability considerations into strategy, policy, infrastructure, transport, urban development, and investment work.

The position requires a strong understanding of sustainability frameworks, climate-related risks and opportunities, and implementation considerations in the Indonesian and regional context. The role also requires the ability to translate technical analysis into practical recommendations for clients and stakeholders.

2. Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Delivery and Technical Support
  • Lead or support sustainability and climate workstreams within assigned projects.
  • Conduct analysis related to low-carbon development, climate mitigation, adaptation, resilience, ESG, and sustainability strategy.
  • Support the integration of climate and sustainability perspectives into broader project outputs.
  • Contribute to workplans, delivery timelines, and technical coordination.
  1. Analytical and Advisory Contributions
  • Review policies, plans, strategies, and project proposals from a sustainability and climate perspective.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen environmental, social, and climate outcomes in projects.
  • Support the development of recommendations related to climate-aligned investment, implementation pathways, and governance arrangements.
  • Assist in framing sustainability narratives for clients, partners, and proposals.
  1. Stakeholder and Knowledge Support
  • Support engagement with government, clients, development partners, and other stakeholders on sustainability-related topics.
  • Prepare briefing notes, meeting materials, workshop inputs, and technical summaries.
  • Track relevant policy, regulatory, and market developments relating to climate and sustainability.
  1. Team Coordination and Quality Assurance
  • Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Review relevant sections of reports and presentations to ensure consistency and technical soundness.
  • Support junior staff through guidance and constructive feedback.

4. Required Qualifications and Competencies

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Management, Climate Policy, Sustainability, Engineering, Urban Planning, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience working on sustainability or climate topics in Indonesia is preferred.
  • Familiarity with public sector, infrastructure, transport, urban, or real estate contexts is an advantage.
